Newsletter - March 1013

I hope you enjoy this edition of the newsletter, as usual there are a range of exciting events and activities reported on which show off the many talents and achievements of our students.

The Christmas Fayre was an overwhelming success and raised over £1000 which will be shared between various charities and equipment for the college and I would like to thank everyone who got involved by either providing materials or coming along and purchasing some of the creative crafts produced by the students.

On Friday 26th October Springwell said farewell to Mr Goddard in true Springwell Style, as he retired from the post of Headteacher.

Following his speech, Mr Goddard presented Daniel Shippam with the 'Goddard Award' in recognition of hiscontribution to college life and this will become an annual award presented at our Achievement Evenings in June.

Newsletter - April 2012

There are many exciting stories to entertain you in this latest edition. Ofsted have judged that the achievement of our students is "improving rapidly" due to the students' good behaviour contributing positively to their learning. They said that the college is "an inclusive and welcoming community and the vast majority of students feel safe" - something we can all be very proud of.
